This year’s meeting marked the 20th anniversary of the Halki International Seminars, a quite successful forum for promising young academics and professionals to discuss global and regional issues, but also a confidence‐building exercise aiming at un‐demonizing the Other and promoting understanding among participants from various troubled regions of the world.
