Programme of the Seminar

03.1 SEE and the Mediterranean: Learning from and about each other/ 4-8 September 2003
In cooperation with the Bertelsmann Foundation, Guetersloh and the Centre for the Study of European Politics and Society at Ben Gurion University, Beersheva. The conference brought together approximately 50 scholars and practitioners from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds, with the objective to discuss what lessons might be learnt from the experience in the Balkans and in particular the role of the international community in attending the post-conflict reconstruction, and how they may be applied to the future of the Arab-Israeli peace process.

03.2 Democratic Choices and the European Construction/17-21 September 2003 With the support of the Directorate General for Research of the European Commission. The second session of the Halki International Seminar 2003 concentrated exclusively on European integration and its current challenges.
